he doesn't, actually, need more time for his work. what he needs is to center himself enough to feel comfortable allowing himself to accept the invitation. really, he feels like it sounds kind of stupid, but pleasure has never been his strong suit. he wants it to be something he can accept, and, well, Caelus is enthusiastic about it.
for a moment he looks torn between his work and his cozy partner, but ultimately he breathes (though it sounds more like a sigh), and goes to join Caelus. he shrugs off his jacket, draping it over the back of one of the chairs, and leaves his boots beneath it, neatly.
