[ Feeling quite content that their little onlookers had made their departure, it was around the time that Caelus responded to him and Aventurine realized that the young trailblazer had not just closed his eyes but rubbed his cheek against his gloved palm.
Some may take the opportunity to snap pictures at a time like this, but he wasn't up for blackmailing at the moment. ]
Well. I certainly wouldn't want you to hurt yourself if you happened to lose your footing while having such little coordination.
[ He drew his hand away despite the very soft flush of pink that had lightly dusted his cheek. Such was just a trick of the light, nothing else.
Aventurine was about to start guiding the drunken trailblazer to a spot he had seen was unoccupied for the time being, but that's where his thoughts screeched to a halt. A mix of different emotions all came into conflict as he had registered what had been said to him, and that's about where his mischievousness kicked in. ]
Yeah? Come this way then, my little kitten.
[ Oh yeah he was leaning into it a bit, a gloved hand reaching out to take one of Caelus' hands into his own and stepping back. Intending to lead him towards that bench in question, his smile confident and unwavering. ]
[ He settles easily enough by her side as they walk together; subconsciously, he's the one who matches her pace and not the other way around. The nearest ice cream stand is a ways away yet, but it's a nice evening. Some of the other tourists are playing music via a boombox on the beach, and are dancing to the rhythm. It's not Robin's songs, but that's for the best, really; it's better that she isn't recognized, and anyway, she deserves a break from her own music, too. ]
I think I had ice cream, like, yesterday. [ He flexes one arm, unnecessarily and rather stupidly, as if to demonstrate that the sweet treats haven't ruined his physique. ] But it's fine! I can also have ice cream today.
[ It hardly matters, of course, if Sunday is late to their appointment. Caelus doesn't have anything else to do today, and frankly, after that conversation, seeing Sunday's obvious distaste for doing anything that benefits himself instead of others, he feels all the more certain that he shouldn't, in fact, do anything except for this today. This, of course, being his new not-so-secret mission to get Sunday to actually enjoy himself a little.
Because: it kind of seems like the man has convinced himself for far too long that he shouldn't be allowed to have anything for himself at all, and Caelus kind of bristles instinctively at that. What's wrong with personal pleasure? What's wrong with enjoying life? Who persuaded Sunday of these ideas, when Robin doesn't seem to be like that at all?
Whatever. Caelus is waiting for Sunday at the entrance to Dream's Edge, as promised. He's worked out his own secret shortcut to the observation deck that Firefly showed him, so they'll be able to get there in record time, and hopefully Sunday won't have to carry their strawberry milk for too long. Which — well. It's kind of funny. He's surely strong enough to carry strawberry milk of all things, but somehow Caelus feels this instinctive need to protect him, even from things as banal as carrying strawberry milk.
He looks up as Sunday approaches. Some of the Dreamweavers milling about in the area look a bit alarmed by Sunday's sudden appearance, as if concerned that the big boss has suddenly come down for an impromptu inspection, but Caelus sort of jerks his head in their direction, as if to say, Don't worry, he's here for me. Then he turns back, smiling like sunshine in Sunday's direction. ]
There you are. Come here often?
[ It's... well, that's a common pick-up line, but he actually means it as a question. Does Sunday come here often? Maybe the starry sky and the eternal dawn aren't new to him. ]
Can you come to my room tonight wearing nothing but a thin silk robe and then slowly slide it off your shoulders as you approach me in the bed and then say something like "I will have you tonight" in a tone that brooks no argument
[ sometimes he's a bit at a loss, but when Caelus is so specific, it grounds him. he's not sure what's more amusing: that Caelus could come up with this, or that he could see himself doing it. ]
Alright. I can do that.
As long as you wear those sweatpants that show off your thighs.
[ little things like this are always a surprise. caelus knows that dan heng loves him, but sometimes he just doesn't expect dan heng to, you know, eye the way his juicy thighs fill out a pair of soft sweatpants. ]
[ The tall man appears in the snowdrifts soon enough, black coat against the white snow. He's wearing far fewer layers than Lynx herself is, though he seems unbothered as he saunters through the snow, fiddling with his phone in one hand and his other hand in his pocket. Once he gets close enough, he looks up, waves, smiles, and tucks his phone into his pocket, jogging to get closer to her. ]
Hey! Sorry I'm late. Ran into some random Fragmentum monsters.
[ He talks about that like it's just an everyday occurrence for him... which, well, it is. But still!
He probably shouldn't just touch her without asking, but her little cat-ear beanie is just so cute... He can't help but give her head a faint pat as she comes within hand distance. ]
[Meanwhile, Lynx had to make sure the coast was clear. There didn't seem to be any knights in sight nor did she see her brother anywhere. While she did manage to avoid her sister, she had a feeling Serval knew what she was up to. Regardless, she couldn't think much about it as she saw a familiar looking man nearby!]
Don't worry about it, I wasn't waiting for long. I'm surprised that nobody caught me though.
[And yet, when she felt said pat on her head, she gave a mumble or two. Don't mind her giving him a look.]
Actually, I know that March has gotten her own outfit tailored in the style of the Xianzhou Luofu, I didn't want to be presumptuous, but I'd like to see you in the same.
[ it's kind of like taking the bits and pieces of home that had been taken from him. his home is in a new place on the Express now, but his first had been violently pulled from him, scattered into so many different pieces. ]
[ he can't say anything because he knows exactly where Caelus got that. he sure does have a window on one of his Luofu outfits. ]
Knowing that we'll be able to walk around freely and enjoy the Luofu makes me happy. I never thought I'd be able to do this, let alone to have someone to do it with, and I don't need anything else other than that.
You don't have to try this hard, Caelus. Having you here is enough.
